A typical day

The children will arrive at 9:15am and will be welcomed by staff into the quiet room for showing time.

Each child will have an allocated showing day where they get the opportunity to share with the group something of interest that relates to that week's theme. Each child that has something to show will stand at the front and with some help will explain to the other children what they have brought and why.

The children will then have free play. Each day the staff put out a different selection of toys and activities for the children to choose from. These would typically include a construction toy, puzzles, dressing up and role play, play dough, sand table and a craft activity that relates to that week's theme.

The children will then have story time in the quiet room whilst their snack is prepared.

The children will then have a healthy snack, which is typically fruit, vegetable sticks, breadsticks etc and a drink of water or milk.

Weather permitting the children will then play outside, we have a lovely set of outdoor toys, and a playhouse that we have recently purchased. If the weather is too poor to play out then the children will often sing songs and take part in musical movement and other activities until home time at 11:45am.
